The SAF1001 Axial Tape Feeder integrates axial taped components—resistors, diodes, and jumper wires—directly into SMT pick-and-place machines. By automating axial component feeding, it eliminates manual placement, reduces labor costs, and maximizes pick-and-place machine utilization. Compatible with mechanical arm automation for fully integrated production lines.

Applications
Ideal for EMS factories and PCB assembly lines that need to place axial components (resistors, diodes, jumper wires) alongside SMT components on the same pick-and-place machine. Eliminates the need for a separate axial insertion station, reducing floor space and changeover time.
Compatible placement machines
The SAF1001 docks on SMT pick-and-place and odd-form insertion machines through IO communication (8-core Ø16 mm aviation plug) or runs standalone. Related ATF-1002 axial feeders cover JUKI, Panasonic, Yamaha, FUJI and Universal (UIC) systems. The interface is confirmed against your machine model before quotation.
Quality testing
Every unit runs 1,000 consecutive feed cycles and a 48-hour aging test with your components before shipment, and the test video is shared with you.

FAQ
Which axial components can the SAF1001 feed?
Taped resistors, diodes/triodes and jumper wires from 3×3 mm to 6×20 mm body size, on 35, 64 or 92 mm tape widths (other widths on request).
Does the SAF1001 cut and form the leads?
Yes. The feeder cuts the leads and U-forms them at the pick position, so the placement head picks a ready-to-insert component. Scrap tape drops vertically; recirculation is optional.
How accurate and fast is it?
Feeding precision is ±0.3 mm with fibre-optic positioning, at a cycle of about 0.8 s per component.
